A graveside service for Betty A. Tidwell 81, of Flagler Beach will be celebrated on Friday, October 19, 2012; 1:30PM at Espanola Cemetery. Betty passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012.

She was born on March 24, 1931 in Orangeburg, SC to the late Paul Orie and Sally Bonnette (Hayden). Betty was a teacher at Flagler Palm Coast High School for many years.

Her membership included The Order of Eastern Stars. She enjoyed reading and gardening. Betty will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Tidwell in 2004.

Survivors include her children, Wayne and his wife Gail Wallace of Tallahassee; Russell Wallace of Tallahassee; Karen James of Tallahassee; Kevin and his wife Kim Wallace of Daytona Beach; Deborah and her husband Lane Ely of Sanford; step-children, Michael and his wife Eileen Tidwell of St. Augustine; Elaine and her husband James Hutchinson of San Antonio, TX; Roseanne and her husband Daniel Lowe of Hollister, FL; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Services are in the care and trust of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
